The
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funds dance, design,
folk & traditional arts, literature, local arts agencies,
media arts, multidisciplinary, museums, music, musical theater,
opera, presenting, theater, and visual arts. On May
7, 2009 , President Obama proposed an increase for the NEA
in his FY10 budget, but it is still below the agency's previous
1992 funding high. As the appropriations process turns
to Congressional action, the arts community is urging legislators
to support a total appropriation of $200 million for
FY 2010.

ask them to support an increased funding level of $200 million
for FY 2010. Write
