Call for Artists for First Sundays

We have another great year of First Sundays with live music, street performers, special events and hopefully great weather.  You all made our event so special last year.  People always comment on the high quality of arts and crafts. We want to continue that offering.  firstsundayarts@gmail.com .

May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5 (noon to 5:00pm)

Hope you all can join us for another exciting season on West Street !

Download Application

We are very excited to announce that the First Sunday Arts Festival is expanding to include the Whitmore Park Plaza area on Calvert Street !

This new area will house a main concert stage featuring popular area bands with an electrified edge and 20 new vending spaces.  The vending spaces all house 10x10 tents! This park lends itself very well to booths and music as it has a lot of trees, a big open plaza area and easy load-in from the curb.

We are now taking application for vending spaces at Whitmore park. The application is attached if you are interested in applying.
1. Timm Kostenko and Larry Griffin will be managing this area and the applications for this space.
2. The mailing address is new (and different than the address for the
West Street vendors).
3. The main stage will host bands with a bigger sound than those on the
West Street section.
4. We will have added security just for this area.

For those of you who still would like to participate in the First Sunday Festivals but weren't able to get in.....now is your chance. We are extremely excited and hope you will be a part of the fests. .If you have questions, send them to: wecareandfriends@yahoo.com

Quiet Waters Seeks Performers
Quiet Waters Park is updating its performer database and is soliciting proposals from musicians and entertainers to perform during the 2008 calendar year. Each year the park offers several opportunities for musicians, musical groups and others to perform at events such as its Earth Day Festival in April, the Summer Concert Series, the Arts Festival in November and other events throughout the year. Audience sizes range from 50 to 2,000 depending on the event, venue and other factors.

For a group to be considered, send a press kit to: Concert Coordinator, 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis, MD 21403. Include biographical information and photographs of the performers, and a CD of the group's music or performance. Submissions for the 2007 Summer Concert Series must be received by Feb. 10.

All proposals will be reviewed by a committee and members of the park staff. For more information, call the concert coordinator at 410-222-1777. No information regarding the status of an application can be given. Groups selected for a performance will be contacted by the concert coordinator for scheduling.

Note: There is already a version of this up on the site but needs to be replaced as this is updated
